How to Make a Flax Egg – Vegan Egg Substitute – Flax Egg Recipe.

How to make a flax egg to use as an egg substitute for baking!

We frequently hear that eggs are just about the only binding agents, but that’s not true. Vegans do not consume animal-based products, including eggs, and there are great vegan-friendly ways to substitute eggs for ingredient binding purposes.

Flaxseed “egg” is super easy to make!

Ingredients:

1 tbsp. ground flaxseed
2 ½ tbsp. water

Instructions:

Mix the ingredients and leave the mass to rest for 10 minutes. And voilà – your vegan egg is ready! You can add the mix to pancake, cupcake or cookie dough, or to any other recipe that traditionally requires eggs.

If you do a lot of baking, you can make some of these eggs in advance and store them in the refrigerator for up to a week.
